What the plant asked for — and what EDE delivered
BuhlerPrince and EDE had two objectives: reduce energy waste and reduce carbon. Lighting with network controls cut cost, improved the work environment, reduced lighting maintenance, and removes more than 281 metric tons of CO₂ annually. Lighting’s share of the monthly energy bill fell from 19% to 3%. Fixture count fell 17%. Expected life is over 25 years with virtually no maintenance. The plant has control over light levels and lighting behavior.
