What the plant asked for — and what EDE delivered
AirBoss of America, one of North America’s largest custom compounding companies, set three goals: reduce operating costs, improve light levels, and complete the project with no out-of-pocket expense. EDE designed LED with networked lighting controls to replace legacy fluorescent. After state and utility funding covered capital cost, the project ran at a net positive cash flow of $1,500 each month for the life of a 5-year lease. Expected system life is well over 25 years. After the lease term, more than $6,000 a month in energy savings goes straight to the bottom line.
