Michigan Automotive Compressor, Inc. (MACI), located in Parma, MI, is a world-class manufacturer of automotive air conditioning compressors with magnetic clutch.The driving force behind MACI’s project was the goals to significantly improve facility light levels, while increasing their bottom line, and sustainability.
Energy Design Engineers (EDE) was one of several companies MACI reviewed prior to making their final decision. The EDE team designed and presented a LED with Networked Lighting Controls (NLC) solution which was selected for phase one of the project.
The project improved light levels by 50%+ in most areas and provided MACI with an annual savings of over $95,000.00.
With their newly found traffic trends, occupancy mapping data, total control of light levels and behaviors from the NLC software, MACI has improved employee safety and safety planning measures
