Project of THE YEAR Nomination – 01/15/20

For the second time in three-years, Energy Design Engineers has nominated projects for Consumers Energy’s Project of the Year. EDE was nominated for two projects to win this very prestigious award; Michigan Automotive Compressor Inc. (Parma, MI), and Brembo North America (Homer, Michigan). Together, these projects collectively performed as follows:

  • Received over $415,000.00 in consumers energy incentives
  • Saving over $250,000.00 Annually in energy costs
  • Remove over 2,900,000 kWh of energy waste each year
  • Remove over 2,000 Metric Tons of Carbon Emissions each year

Top 5 Performer in The State of Michigan – 01/02/20

We are delighted to announce that Energy Design Engineers (EDE) finished 2019 with the second highest energy reduction among all Consumers Energy Trade Ally’s. One of EDE’s primary goals with each client is to maximize their energy waste, and we are pleased with our impact in 2019.

Our projects continue to provide the greatest energy waste reduction, utility incentives, and value for our clients. The following are key metrics from seven of our larger projects in 2019 Consumers Territory:

  • Total Incentives: $720,202.42
  • Energy Reduced: 4,559,155.71 kWh/year
  • CO2 Avoided: 3,495.90 Metric Tons/year

Osram Awards Energy Design Engineers – 11/06/19

Energy Design Engineers (EDE) was recently recognized by Digital Lumens, an OSRAM Company, for our outstanding performance in 2019. This award only went to companies that Digital Lumens recognized as their top performers in the USA.

Brembo North America Project – Homer, Michigan – 06/10/19

Energy Design Engineers (EDE) is pleased to announce we completed a large project for a global leader in high-performance brakes, Brembo North America (Brembo). Brembo’s project was a tall task and demanded excellence throughout each phase of the project.

EDE provided a turn-key solution to Brembo with the expectation that the project would be completed in 4-weeks. A challenge, given the busy workspace and 800,000 sq ft facility. The project was completed on time and according to budget, and the following are the key project metrics (outcomes): 

  1. The project completed on time and within the budget.
  2. Project energy savings exceeded the projected savings 
  3. Project utility incentive exceeded projected incentive by over $50,000.00.
  4. Our client is currently operating his lighting system at 60 – 80% (depending on the location) power during occupancy events and still maintains a light level that is 20% greater than the previous light level.  
  5. The project eliminated $5,000.00 per quarter of lighting maintenance costs.

Energy Consultant

We are seeking retires (part-time) and full-time sales help in the following Michigan markets; Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, Washtenaw, Kent, and Genesee counties in Michigan.

This position sells LED lighting, lighting controls, solar, and energy storage. We position our sales team members as energy waste reduction specialists. We help our clients reduce their energy costs by $5,000.00 – $25,000.00 per month through our various services.

Applicants should be tech-minded, comfortable with cold calling, be a good conversation starter, have 3 – 5 years of sales experience, and motivated to help reduce energy waste and carbon emissions.

EDE Consultant is a job where you are spending 70% – 80% of your time in the field prospecting and developing new business…not a desk job. If you enjoy new technologies and helping American businesses save jobs and reduce their carbon footprint, this job may be something you want to consider.

Business Development

We are seeking experienced full-time business development professionals who want to work from home. Applicants must have five years of business development experience.  

 

Our target audience is manufacturing, warehouse, and office buildings, and you will be cold calling on them over the phone to schedule an appointment for our sales engineers. We are only reviewing and contacting applicants that meet our five-year requirement. Compensation is commensurate with experience, your interview, and your written test score.   

 

Energy Design Engineers is a growing company that needs 2 – 3 great business development team members, and there is room for growth with our company if you are interested. The skills, talents, and individuals we are seeking are what are required to grind it out on the phone until you are successful each day. This is not a position for a beginner.
